Putting on a large event is a lot of work. There are many different things that you need to do, including finding a venue, hiring caterers, selecting entertainment, and picking a theme and decorating. If you are in charge of a large event, hiring event designers may be wise. Event designers can help you design an event and ensure that the style and theme are cohesive throughout all elements of an event. If you are looking to hire an event designer, here are three important questions that you should consider asking.

What Do Your Fees Include?

Money and budget are always important when planning a large event. When you are looking to work with an event designer on the design for your event, one of the most important questions to ask is what is included in the fees they charge. Some event planners will charge you simply for putting together a design, and then require you to rent out chairs, tables, and linens and buy flowers. Other event designers come up with a proposal for your event and include their fees in with the cost of all the items they need to make their vision for your event a reality.

Do You Have Vendor Contracts in Place?

Another important question to ask when you are looking to hire for event design is whether the designer has vendor contracts in place. For example, if the event designer is designing floral centerpieces for your wedding, do they already have a contract with a specific florist or can you select a florist of your choosing to obtain the flowers from? Some planners work with specific vendors, while some planners allow you to find the best prices for what you need and will work with your vendors.

Do You Have Pictures of Past Events?

The final question that you want to ask an event designer is if they have pictures of past events that you can look at. You want to see what their design style is like. When possible, ask to see pictures that are using the same basic theme as your event, such as a country outdoor wedding theme or a luxurious pink theme for a baby shower. This will allow you to see the quality of their work and their design style.

Event designers are not event planners, and as such, they cannot help you pick a venue or hire entertainment. But, what they can do is to ensure that the design and decor of your event fits within the theme and is stunning. Reach out to event designers in your area and ask these questions to begin the process of finding the right designer for your event.

I created this blog to give others some ideas about what can be done on date nights to make each night spent with your significant other as special and memorable as it can be. Hopefully, you will find something new to do with the person that you love to spend time with.
